My artistic journey is ever evolving, my working processes are never static for very long! I have a fear routine and of becoming entrenched in a particular way of working that starts to feel formulaic. I love to find new ways of expressing ideas and concepts, so whilst I consider myself primarily a painter, I am always looking to explore different and more complex ways of art making.

Noosa Open Studios - 1st to 10th October 2021. Opening Days and times.

The Noosa Open Studios committee submitted a Deckchairs on the Green installation proposal to the Swell Sculpture Festival on the Gold Coast to help promote the upcoming Noosa Open Studios art trail happening in October.

Every painting has it's own special journey. This piece started as an experiment with Gelli plate printing on a poly canvas piece, which I'd picked up at my local art supply store - its was just an off cut from a bigger stretching job they'd done. I'd been printing on papers for a while, but wondered how I could move beyond the restrictions of the A4 size dictated by the Gelli plate (my attempts at making my own bigger gelatin plates using various recipes had all been dismal

This group exhibition is presented by members of Arts Connect Inc around the theme of the reptiles and amphibians that call the rainforest reserve home. A diverse and eclectic show of artwork including paintings and sculpture. The show also includes an ‘Art to Go’ section with small works under $100.

I grew up in the Yorkshire Dales in the north of England. Hikes and wanderings were a regular feature of my early childhood. Climbing hulking mountains, lefty lofty by ancient glacial activity eroding the river valleys below, was a regular family pastime. Soaking up vast and rolling vistas and often seeking a spot to shelter from the constantly changing weather, was just what we did on weekends.
