The Transition Series is a journey through change, captured in paint. Each work in the collection explores moments of shift, that may appear subtle but are inherently profound.
Through restrained colour palettes, visual texture, and abstract forms, the paintings give visible form to experiences that are often intangible: the quiet evolution of thought, the turning points of emotion, and the subtle currents of transformation that ripple through daily existence.
In this series, change is not presented as abrupt or jarring, but as a natural flow. Soft gradients and rhythmic forms evoke the passage from one state to another, suggesting that transformation is continuous, nuanced, and deeply personal.
By engaging with these works, you are invited to reflect on your own experiences of personal growth, loss, renewal, and adaptation, recognizing the universality of change.
What makes the Transition Series particularly compelling is its ability to communicate without words. Each painting is a visual story, an emotional depiction of metamorphosis.
Through abstract expression, the series captures the invisible forces that guide us and the inner shifts of thought and feeling that, over time, reshape our perception and our reality. In engaging with these works, we are reminded that transformation, while sometimes challenging, can also be a space of discovery, possibility, and quiet beauty.
There are 11 paintings in this collection (2009).
