Incognito Art Show 2022
There were so many buyers lined up outside the door on sale day this year, there weren't enough hours in the day to get all the collectors through the doors and with over 1,400 artists contributing over 3,500 artworks to the show, this year's event was huge! Remaining art works are now up for grabs in the online sale, so make a cuppa and have a browse.

Buying art with a twist!
This year I'm taking part in the Incognito Art Show, a fundraiser for Studio A in Sydney that supports professional development for artists with intellectual disabilities. Over 3400 donations have been received from participating artists around Australia. The sale of these works is an in-person event, being held this year at, 2 Lacey Street, Surrey Hills, doors open at 8 am on Saturday 18th June.

Little Limitations - Work in Progress
Day 4 of Louise Fletcher's 'Find Your Joy' taster course was about limiting materials as a way to boost creativity, which sounds incongruous, but it's a tried and tested method of working for many artists. My 'Curiosity Series' was just such an exercise which I loved doing, as it seemed that much of the choice paralysis was taken away which enabled me to focus on getting the most out of a limited number of materials and colours.

Get, Set, Fail - Work in Progress
Every painting I make has failure points in it somewhere and most of them teeter on the edge of failure for days or even weeks! But I usually figure out a way to resolve whatever I feel the problem is, armed with a flexible and adaptable process that gives me lots of options to try. Day 3 of Louise Fletcher's 'Find Your Joy' taster course was all about feeling free to make unsuccessful work and letting it go.
