I was feeling like a quick dabble in something other than greens today. I also dug out my paint pens for some of the details. I'm not sure if I really get along with them, but these sketches are a great place to try them out. Are you a fan of paint pens? Maybe I just need more practice with them.

Who doesn't love colour?! I'm definitely a 'saturated colour girl' and sometimes I'm tempted to have every colour under the sun on the palette....think 'kid in a candy store'.

Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre was abuzz on opening night with not only 'Earthly Nuances' opening, but also 'Mirror Mirror' to mark International Women's Day, and 'Arboreal Connections'. What a diverse celebration of creativity across the three exhibitions, which included a fantastic projection installation by the 'Mirror Mirror' exhibition and live music....

Playing with structure, colour, shape and space are recurring themes for me and in the case of this sketch - verticals in particular!

It's an honour to have been selected as one of the forty finalists in this year's art prize with my mixed media work 'Arrival' from my 'Visitors' Series. The opening event will be held at Caloundra Regional Gallery on Thursday 23rd March, 6 pm - 8 pm. All welcome! The show runs from the 23 Mar - 7 May.
