The Emergence of A New Visual Language in the Process Series.

The Process Series was my first collection of large scale paintings since emigrating to Australia in 2001.
These works marked the evolution of a new visual language, centred around circular forms, limited colour palettes and striking abstract compositions; moving my work from more literal landscape work into a new phase.
The Process series is an intimate exploration of creation itself, capturing the unfolding journey of ideas as they evolve into form. Each painting is a testament to experimentation, to the fluidity of thought, and the courage to embrace uncertainty.
Layers build and dissolve, colours collide and harmonise, reflecting the dynamic rhythms of growth and change.
Through this series, viewers are invited to witness art not just as a finished product, but as a living dialogue — a record of decisions, hesitations, and discoveries. Process is a meditation on transformation, reminding us that the journey itself holds as much meaning as the destination, and that beauty often emerges in the act of becoming.
There are 12 paintings in this collection (2007/2008).
