'Holding Illusions' is imbued with a truth about memory; that the longer we're away from a place that has shaped us, the more it softens and reshapes itself in the mind, until what we're holding onto isn't quite the place itself, but somewhere with its edges smoothed by the passing of time. The landscape sits beneath a glowing sky that stretches above with a surreal quality, framed by scattered remnants of the mangrove motif that reference the fringe of Lake Weyba at sunset.
