This painting comes from my deep love of wild, unmanicured places. When I’m in these environments, I feel a sense of relief in seeing nature growing exactly as it needs to. No straight lines, no rules and no expectation to perform in a particular way. ‘Wildwood’ is about this freedom and the permission to exist as I am, to grow in my own way, shaped by the ground beneath me and the forces around me. It speaks to the feeling of being in nature where I can reconnect with the truest version of myself.
