‘Tidal Pool’ was inspired by chance encounters with the sea and the joy of finding, on any given day, that the ocean has left a perfect tidal swimming pool in the sand. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why these pools appear, but they feel like a special gift each and every time. This painting is about celebrating those moments in life that arrive unheralded and that are destined only to bring surprise and joy and to deepen our connection to the wonders of nature.
