'Remembering' evokes a feeling of journeying through a night-time landscape where the colours blend into a soft visual dialogue of dream-like shapes that drift towards the darkened horizon.  For me, many formative memories exist in the shadows, ever present but in the subconscious, surfacing occasionally when the environment feels right. This painting is a reminder to me to pause, acknowledge and revisit the interconnectedness of memory and emotion as it relates to my current everyday experience.
