This piece captures the winding passage of the sandy track edged by coastal grasses and casuarina trees at Marcus Beach on the Sunshine Coast. It’s a liminal space between land and sea, a place where my internal energy shifts and a feeling of freedom and release begins to flow. The painting is imbued with a sense of movement and anticipation, as though each step forward brings the promise of arrival at the ocean’s edge and an expansive view of deep blue space. It speaks to the human experience of transition and navigating narrow, shifting pathways that lead us toward new horizons.
