This painting reflects on the physical and emotional distance I feel towards places I am intrinsically connected to and the memories I have of them. It evokes an imaginary and ephemeral place where echoes of these landscapes feel part of my contemporary inner being. Its abstract forms suggest both strength and a depth of feeling; a recognition that separation has intensified the memory of lived experiences of environments. This piece became a meditation, not just on distance and geography, but also on the emotional spaces we grow into with the passing of time.
