Mixed Media Abstract Painting: Sky Ripples - Work in Progress

With so many interesting snippets of my recent organic print experiments crowding the bench, I couldn't resist taking a sidestep to make a new mixed media abstract painting that incorporated some of them.

I added some collage pieces to the surface, along with my marked papers to get started this time. I had planned to stick to the cool blues and greens, as that's the direction my current painting is heading in, but the piece needed a warm lift, so pink seemed like the best colour to do that with.



Enjoy watching this one coming together, I must get back to my big painting - it won't paint itself!
